Nasce a Roma nel 1940. Autodidatta, nel 1958 si reca a Parigi dove studia i maestri delle avanguardie storiche.  Dal 1964 al 1970 è a Londra dove frequenta Joseph Richwert e Edward Write, esponente della Poesia Visiva. Sono anni decisivi per la sua formazione, nel 1970 inizia l’attività artistica. Negli anni ’80, in occasione dei numerosi viaggi negli Stati Uniti, incontra il fotografo Ralph Gibson e nasce la sua attenzione per la fotografia che, come referente iconico, nei recenti lavori dialoga con l’astrazione dei campi cromatici della sua pittura.

Born in Rome in 1940. Self-taught, he goes to Paris in 1958, where he studies the masters of the historical vanguards. From 1964 to 1970 he stays in London, where  he regularly meets with Joseph Richwert and Edward Write, exponent of Visual Poetry. These are decisive years for his formation, and he begins his  artistic activity in 1970. In the 80’s, during his frequent travels to the USA, he meets the photographer Ralph Gibson and he starts to be interested in photography. This is, in his recents works, in relation to the abstract character of the cromatic fields of his painting.
